AS A JUNIOR (2021-22): Came in fourth in the 200 back and fifth in the 100 back in the season opener against Northwestern...won the 200 back and was second in the 100 back against Milwaukee...was top-four in both backstroke races and sixth in the 100 IM against Oakland...came in sixth in the 200 back at the House of Champions...was also 11th in the 100 back...had a pair of third place swims, in the 200 back and 200 IM, against Notre Dame...made the B-final in the 200 back and finished 13th at the Horizon League Championships.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Made his season debut against Cleveland State, coming in third in the 100 back and second in the 200 back...was second in the 200 back again, and came in fourth in the 100 back, against Oakland...won the 200 back and was second in the 100 back against Milwaukee...made the consolation finals in both backstroke events, taking 14th in the 100 and 11th in the 200, at the Horizon League Championships.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019-20): Came in fifth in the 200 back, and seventh in the 100 back, at Northwestern...took fifth in the 100 back against Michigan State...was in the top seven in both backstroke races against Oakland...took third in the 200 and fifth in the 100 against Milwaukee...qualified for the finals in both backstroke events and the 100 fly at the House of Champions...best finish was 12th in the 200 back...was in the top five four times, all in backstroke races, over two days against Cleveland State and IUPUI...had a pair of third place finishes in the backstroke against Green Bay...was fourth in the 200 back against UChicago and Wabash...qualified for the consolation finals in both backstroke events at the Horizon League Championships...finished 15th in the 100 and 12th in the 200.
PREP/PERSONAL: Was the 100 back conference champion in 2018 and 2019...qualified for state three times...was a two-time sectional runner-up...named to the All-Conference team all four years...twice named to the conference Honor Roll...contributed to the school 200 medley relay record...qualified for Winter Juniors in the 200 back...son of Carrie and Steve Zant...majoring in Accounting.
