UIC Places 35 Student-Athletes On MCC Academic Honor Roll

Chicago, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago placed 35 of its student-athletes on the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Academic Honor Roll for the 1999-2000 season, it was announced today by the league office.

The men's cross-country and soccer programs led UIC with each putting five representatives on the honor roll. Men's swimming and diving, women's tennis and women's volleyball each had four members on the list.

As a league, the MCC honored 361 individuals. Student-athletes who competed in an MCC-sponsored sport are awarded Academic Honor Roll status by posting a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade-point average. They must also have complete three semesters as a full-time student at the same school.
