  • Dr. Furner
    suggests that the student-athletes begin to reach out more to students, and gain their support.
  • Bill Bavirsha
    wants all athletes who are still having problems with their I-cards to photocopy the front of their cards and deliver it to him.
  • Andrew Haring
    stressed the importance of support for other athletes, and how it needs to become a priority.
  • Shawn Sullivan & Jill Sexton
    spoke about The Fury. They would like all student-athletes to wear their shirts to sporting events and sit with other members. Fury members should wear their shirts at Midnight Madness. Check out The Fury website, the link is off of the uicflames.com site. Jill mentioned the lunch outside CCC at noon on Saturday, October 12.

    4:00-5:30 Session I

  • Newman Student Organization Candy Drive
    All money or candy should be delivered to Port by October 24!
  • SAAC Bulletin Board
    Alison Aguilar, Stephanie Murphy, and Meghan Keck
  • Newsletter
    Nelson Gord suggested a newsletter of activities around the athletic department as well as competition dates be included in a monthly newsletter. Bill Bavirsha agreed to check into a little stand to be placed by locker room doors in FAC so athletes could have access to the newsletters.
  • MIDNIGHT MADNESS:
    FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11- PAVILION
    BEGINS AT 10:30! Free food, games, and prizes between 10:30-11:15 Stay late to see the basketball player scrimmage and see the $10,000 shot!
  • Senior Graduation Forms
    These forms need to be filled out by all seniors, even if you don't graduate this year. These forms are available in the Port Center.
  • Advisement Sheets
    These forms need to be filled out by all student athletes and need to be signed by advisor to verify classes for next semester.
