Midway through Sunday's LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon, there will be a point where the participants will become tired, exhausted and debate whether they want to continue the race.
What's a better motivation to finish the race after passing a loud and boisterous crowd cheering your way to victory?
You can be a part of the crowd at the UIC rally station in front of CCC at 9:00 AM. Join the UIC Dancing Flames, Cheerleaders and listen to live music by UIC alum Dan Darrah. Souvenir t-shirts and breakfast will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There will also be a poster decorating contest at the rally station. The criteria for the contest includes:
1. Poster board and all materials are student's responsibility.
2. You may only enter one poster.
3. No profanity or graphic pictures allowed on the poster.
4. Must include UIC Athletics Logo and Fox Sports Net on the poster.
The first-place winner will receive one roundtrip ticket on American Airlines after January 1st. The runner-up will win a gray fleece Marathon Logo jacket. The third-place finisher will win a messenger bag.
