Samantha Marchese joined the Flames in 2013 as the Athletic Training Assistant for volleyball and was hired full time in July of 2014.
Prior to coming to UIC, Marchese served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Whiteford High School with the Toledo Medical Center. She was responsible for coverage of Whiteford football, volleyball, softball, baseball, boys' and girls' basketball and track and field teams. She created individualized strength and conditioning programs for athletes, provided coverage for girls' basketball district tournaments and softball/baseball district tournaments.
During the summers of 2008-12, Marchese served as the Athletic Trainer Intern for the La Crosse Loggers baseball team, where she provided coverage for all practice and home collegiate summer baseball games.
From 2007-11, Marchese was a part of the Athletic Training Program at Wisconsin-La Crosse. She provided coverage for Division III UW-L softball, men's and women's swimming, women's track, men's and women's tennis, women's cross country, baseball, football, and gymnastics teams.
Marchese graduated from Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Minor in Nutrition. In 2013, Marchese received her Master of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Athletic Training from Toledo.
