AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18): NCAA Qualifier, Vault...UIC's top performer on vault throughout the season...also competed on floor and high bar in every meet...added performances on p-bars in seven of eight meets, and pommel horse in five meets, and completed the all-around three times...was named ECAC Specialist of the Week three times for his performances on vault...opened the season with a 13.800 on vault at the Windy City Invitational, one of one of seven times he would score at least that high...had a season highs with 13.150 on floor (finishing ninth) and 10.800 on horse Jan. 21...was sixth on vault in that tri-meet...scored 14.350 on vault in back to back meets Feb. 10 (finishing fifth) and Feb. 18 (finishing first)...set two season highs, scoring 11.450 on rings and 12.200 on high bar Feb. 18...established a season high on floor Mar. 4 with a 12.700...competed in every event and scored a season high 12.400 on p-bars Mar. 31...had another 14.350 on vault, placing fifth, and set a season high 72.900 in the all-around, good for eighth, at the ECAC Championships...qualified for the NCAA national meet on vault, where he set a career high 14.366 in the qualifying session and advanced to the championship session...scored 13.233 in the final round.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17): Consistently represented the Flames on floor and vault throughout the season…captured a season and personal best of 14.350 on vault against Iowa (Jan. 22) earning second place on the event…notched a 13.350 on floor at the Midwest Open for a season high on March 4…earned a 12.900 on floor during his collegiate debut at the 2017 Windy City Invitational (Jan. 14)…grabbed a 14.150 on vault at the ECAC Championships (April 8), and a 12.550 on floor.

PREP AND PERSONAL: State champion from 2013 to 2015… Regional vault champion from 2012 to 2015… Regional floor champion in 2014 and 2015…five-time National medalist on parallel bars, vault and floor… is a black belt in karate… son of Aziz and Khairunnissa Jooma… has one older sibling, Kawal…currently undecided on a major.
