Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner for the Knights of Prospect....multiple-time state finals qualifier, competing in the state meet in the all-around, pommel horse, still rings, high bar and parallel bars, with a career best third-place on the pommel horse senior year...guided squad to the Mid-Suburban League championship every season of his prep career, as well as a sectional crown during his sophomore campaign...captain of the varsity team his senior season, when the team went undefeated...set school pommel horse record...also lettered in diving for three seasons...born February 13, 1990...son of Donald and Margaret Mattes...major is undecided.
