AS A SOPHOMORE (2019): Recovered from injury in time to join the team for the Iowa-Minnesota meet...competed on high bar in every meet the rest of the season...never scored lower than 11.350...topped 12 for the first time against William & Mary...set a season high with 12.250 against Michigan...scored 11.650 at the ECAC Championships.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Did not compete.

PREP/PERSONAL: Native of Montgomery, Ala., where he attended DaySpring Academy… Was crowned the All-Around State Champion in 2013... Was an event State Champion in 2014-16… Recipient of the Academic All-American Award in 2015… Was the Regional Runner-up in 2015… Guitarist, vocalist, drummer, bassist, and keyboard player in various worship bands in Montgomery as well as at UIC… Also a beatboxer in the UIC a cappella group Downtown Voices… Son of Cheri and Travis Norwood… Has four siblings: Bekah, Bethany, Elijah and Isaac… Currently enrolled as a Spanish major.
