AS A JUNIOR (2017-18): Competed in the first three meets of the season on rings and p-bars before suffering a season-ending injury...showed steady improvement on rings, leaping from an 11.550 in the Windy City Classic to a 12.100 to a 13.100 at Nebraska...remained quite consistent on parallel bars with all three of his scores bunched between 13.000 and 13.250...his score of 13.250 at Nebraska was the highest p-bars score on the team all season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17): Haugsted consistently represented the Flames on rings, parallel bars and high bar, and competed on floor during the latter half of the season…notched a season high on rings on March 4 at the Midwest Open with his score of 13.800…was victorious on the parallel bars versus Air Force (March 12) after scoring a 13.600…achieved season bests on high bar (12.400) and floor (13.550) at the ECAC Championships on April 8, where he also captured a career high of 14.000 on parallel bars.

AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16): Haugsted regularly represented UIC on floor exercise, still rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar this season…He recorded a career-best on floor exercise on Feb. 13 at the Peach Tree Invitational with his score of 14.250…Also notched season and career bests on rings (13.950), vault (13.250) and parallel bars (13.600)…Was a team-best on high bar against Air Force (Feb. 26) with his score of 13.300, his career-best for that event.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Medaled sixth on the Still Rings at the 2014 Junior Olympic Nationals...awarded Academic All-American..has participated in eight state championships and seven regional championships...three-time Junior Olympic qualifier...attended G&J Speedway Gymnastics...son of Leif and Lisa Haugsted...currently enrolled as an Industrial Design major.
