AS A SENIOR (2020-21): Won the 100 free, and was third in the 200 free, in the season-opening meet against Milwaukee...repeated as winner of the 100 free, with a second-place swim in the 200, against Cleveland State...won the 500 free and was second in the 50 against Milwaukee in the rematch with the Panthers...was seventh in the 200 free, 12th in the 100 free, and 16th in the 500 free at the Horizon League Championships...leadoff swimmer in UIC's 200 and 400 free relay teams, which both finished third at conference.

AS A JUNIOR (2019-20): Had sixth place finishes in the 100 and 200 free in the season opener at Northwestern...took second in both the 100 and 200 free against Michigan State...repeated the double-second place performance against Oakland...got a pair of wins, in the 50 and 100 free, against Milwaukee...finished in the top 15 in the 100 and 200 at the House of Champions, and was just outside it with a 16th place finish in the 500...won the 200 and 500, and added a second place swim in the 500 and two top-five 50 races, in the two-day tri-meet with Cleveland State and IUPUI...swam the 1000 for the first time against UChicago and Wabash...was sixth in the 200, and eighth in the 500, at the Horizon League Championships...led off the 400 and 800 free relays all season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Added the 500 free to his repertoire, and dropped time in all three of his freestyle events over the course of the season...finished on the podium in 6th place in the 200 free at the Horizon League Championships...placed ninth in the 200 free at conference...improved on his ranking after prelims in both events...set career-low times in all three of his events at the conference meet...won the 200 free in his first meet of the season against Olivet Nazarene...took second in the 200 and added a fifth-place finish in the 500 against Milwaukee...claimed fourth place in the 500 with a then-season best time against IUPUI and Cleveland State...swam the 1000 free for the first time in the regular season finale against Green Bay, finishing fourth...added a third place finish in the 100 against the Phoenix...named UIC's Most Improved.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Opened the season with two third place finishes against Green Bay and Valparaiso, in the 100 free (:47.61) and the 200 free (1:44.59), and was on the winning 400 free relay team...was a top-8 finisher in both races at Northwestern with Rutgers and Chicago...swam the third leg of the first place 400 free relay squad...claimed his first individual collegiate win with a first place finish in the 200 (1:44.16) against Milwaukee...helped the 400 free relay team to a second place finish...placed sixth in the 100 in that meet...was sixth in the 100 (:49.14) and seventh in the 200 (1:47.78) against Oakland, with a third place showing in the 400 free relay...set a then-season best time in the 100 (:47.57) at the TYR Invitational...contributed to the 200 and 800 free relays...swam the 50 free (:21.90) and 500 free (4:48.07) for the first time at that meet...had top-10 finishes in the 200 (1:45.43) and 500 (4:48.56) against Cleveland State and IUPUI...moved into the leadoff position on the 400 free relay team...set season highs in the 100 (:46.46), 200 (1:41.32), and 500 free (4:40.57) at the Horizon League Championships.

PREP/PERSONAL: Set the school record in the 500 free twice at Neuqua Valley High School...was an All-State selection in the 50 free and 200 free relay as a senior, and made the All-American team in the 50 free...a three-time All-Conference selection and three-time state qualifier...also played water polo all four years, and was the team captain for swimming and water polo as a senior...son of Audrey and Michael Cunningham...his father played D2 football and his mother was a D1 swimmer...currently enrolled as a marketing major.
