AS A FRESHMAN (2018-19): Exploded onto the scene with a win in the 100 back and a third place finish in the 100 fly in the season opener against Michigan State...was a top-four swimmer in the 100 back and 100 fly against Northwestern and Chicago...placed third in the 100 back against Oakland...won the 100 back and was second in the 100 fly against Milwaukee...swam seven events at the TYR Invitational, notably finishing seventh in the 100 IM, eighth in the 50 fly, and ninth in the 50 back...took fourth in the 50 free and the 100 back against Cleveland State and IUPUI...won the 100 back and was second in the 100 fly against Green Bay...finished fifth in the 100 back and ninth in the 100 fly at the Horizon League Championships...was also a valuable relay contributor...began the season as the butterfly swimmer on the Flames' A-medley relay teams, switching to backstroke later in the year...helped the 200 medley relay squad take second twice and first place against Cleveland State and IUPUI...the 400 medley relay team also was first in that meet...was part of the third place 200 free relay team at the conference championships...named UIC Newcomer of the Year.
