2024-25 (Graduate Student):
  • Broke the school record twice in the 100 butterfly (47.41 and 47.50) at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship meet.
  • Broke the 100-backstroke school record at the MVC meet, finishing in third place with a time of 47.51.
  • Placed sixth in the 100 freestyle (43.34) and 20th in the 100 butterfly (48.21) at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships.
  • Set a new career-high in the 50 freestyle (20.13) at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships.
  • Won the 100 backstroke in 49.03 seconds in the dual meet, setting a new pool record at the Valparaiso Aquatic Center against the Beacons.
  • Contributed to a school record-breaking 400 medley relay (3:13.59) at the MVC meet.
  • Played a role in a sixth-place finish in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:27.83 at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships.
  • Named a member of the 2025 All-MVC Conference First Team.
  • Named a team MVP at the end of the year awards banquet.

2023-24 (Senior):
  • Finished second in the 100 freestyle at the CSCAA National Invitational Tournament with a time of 43.13 seconds, breaking a 13-year old school record.
  • Placed second in the 100 freestyle with a 43.59-second finish and was a member of both school record-breaking 200 and 400 medley relay teams at the MAC Championship meet.
  • Broke the school record in the 100 backstroke in the preliminary heat with a 47.85-second finish. He later placed seventh in the final heat of the event, finishing in 48.60 seconds. He also finished sixth in the 100 butterfly, finishing in 47.89 seconds, all at the MAC Championship meet.
  • He was selected to the All-MAC first team and was voted Most Valuable Swimmer and among the 12 record breaker award winners  at the end-of-the-year awards banquet.


Prior to UIC
  • Competed three seasons for University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
High School/ Personal
  • Competed four years as a member of Austin High School’s men’s swim and dive team in Austin, Minnesota between 2015-2020.
  • Four time All-State and All-Conference
  • 2020 All-American recognition from the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association.
  • Most top 10 times in Austin High School history.
  • Set records in the 200 Medley Relay, 100 Back and 400 Relay.
  • Parents are Tim and Alexa Dolan Peterson.
  • Majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
