Prior to UIC: Played No. 1 singles for Chicago State...earned Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week recognition...named to the Presidential Academic Honor Roll.

Prep/Personal: Earned seven letters playing tennis for Prince Edward...helped the Tigers earn the Mim du Toit national championship...represented his provincial team in Dunlop and Brooks Tournaments in Zimbabwe for nine straight years (1993-2001)...selected to the Zimbabwe schools team from 1999-2001...also played rugby...son of Winnie Samuriwo...majoring in architecture.
