2022-23 (Graduate Student):
  • Mostly appeared at the No. 1 position in singles.
  • Played the two and three positions consistently for doubles play.
  • Moved to the ninth spot in Flames history for all-time singles wins (47).
  • Won two doubles contests in a row at the end of the season, against DePaul and Xavier.
  • Beat opponent from UIW in opening round of Southland Conference Championship.
  • Named to Southland Conference 2023 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
  • Named a 2023 ITA Scholar-Athlete.
2021-22 (Senior):
  • All-Horizon League Second Team.
  • Horizon League All-Academic Team.
  • Earned two singles wins, over St. Louis and Xavier, at the River Forest Invitational.
  • Won all three of his singles matches at the Redbird Invite.
  • Was UIC's #1 singles player for most of the season.
  • Had a streak of seven straight singles wins into the beginning of dual match play.
  • Defeated Marquette and Eastern Illinois on the #1 court…picked up a singles win over Creighton.
  • Defeated Northern Kentucky in both regular season matches, and in the Horizon League quarterfinals.
  • Split time between the #1 and #2 doubles flights, playing most frequently with Artem Iermolov and Francesco Tacconi.
  • Won five straight doubles matches in Horizon League play.
  • Defeated Youngstown State in doubles action in the Horizon League semifinals.
  • UIC's leader in doubles wins, and second on the team in singles victories.
  • Moved into a tie for 10th place on the Flames' all-time singles wins list.
2020-21 (Junior): 
  • Named to the All-Horizon League Second Team.
  • UIC's #1 singles player in every match.
  • Won two doubles matches in a three-match span while playing with Artem Iermolov.
  • Played the remainder of the season with Luiz Dos Santos, primarily as the #1 doubles team.
2019-20 (Sophomore): 
  • Advanced to the championship match in singles play at the River Forest Collegiate Invitational.
  • Went 3-1 in singles play and 3-0 on the doubles courts at the WMU Vredevelt Invite.
  • Qualified for ITA Regionals in singles and in doubles.
  • Started the season at #5 singles, where he won three of four matches and was promoted to #3.
  • Won his first two matches in the #3 flight for an overall three-match winning streak.
  • Began the season at #3 doubles, but was paired with Kasper Parlklo in the #1 slot for the last four matches before the season was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Won two of three finished matches alongside Parlklo.
  • Led the team in singles and doubles wins.
2018-19 (Freshman):
  • Qualified for ITA Regionals in both singles and doubles, won a match in both singles and doubles play at regionals.
  • Advanced to the championship of the #3 singles draw at the River Forest Collegiate Invitational.
  • Started the season as UIC's #4 singles player, but moved to #6 for the final two months.
  • Went 6-3 at #6 singles...had a four-match winning streak, and won his first four Horizon League matches.
  • Earned important points in singles play in UIC's Horizon League quarterfinal and semifinal victories.
  • Re-entered the Flames' doubles lineup at the start of April...went 4-2 in doubles action down the stretch, playing primarily with Marcelo Dib.
  • Came through with doubles wins that helped the Flames take the doubles point in their first two Horizon League tournament matches.
High School / Personal:
  • The winner of many Swedish tournaments, Strandberg won the Stockholm Junior Tour in 2017.
  • He advanced to the quarterfinals of the regional tournament in 2016 and 2017.
  • Played for the Tsk Malmens team in Stockholm for two years and led them to the highest junior conference in the city.
  • Played for Nasby Park twice in the Swedish national championship…best showing was a quarterfinal appearance.
  • Son of Ann-Sofie Strandberg and Dan Utterstrom.
  • Majoring in Economics.
