Coach Shawn Lucas on Charlie: "Charlie has one of the best characters I have had the joy to recruit in my coaching career.  A true leader beyond his years and all about making his team better.  He was an integral part of his 4x800 team that went into the 3A finals ranked to podium, but an unfortunate injury to their anchor leg interrupted this quest, but seeing how their team mattered more than a finishing time, Charlie and his teammates rallied together and ran the final 100 meters with their teammate, ultimately being disqualified, but showcasing a heart and soul that you cannot coach.  His running and academic successes speak for themselves and we are excited to see him join in training with Joshua English and Kyle Foley and create a force to be reckoned with in the Horizon League."
