AS A SENIOR (2019-20): Opened the season with two top-10 finishes, in the 100 and 200 back, against Northwestern and Illinois...came in fifth in the 100 back against Michigan State...was sixth in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 back against Oakland...came in sixth in both backstroke races against Milwaukee...qualified for the finals in both backstroke events at the House of Champions...finished in the top 20 in the 100, and just outside it at 21st in the 200...also swam the 500 free...was in the top 10 three times in backstroke races over two days against Cleveland State and IUPUI...best finish was sixth in the 200...came in fifth in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 back against Green Bay...was fifth in both backstroke events, and sixth in the 100 IM, against UChicago...swam the 100 and 200 back and the 500 free at the Horizon League Championships...spent time on the backstroke leg of the 200 medley relay team.
AS A JUNIOR (2018-19): Claimed second in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 back to open the season against Indiana State...finished seventh in the 200 back against Northwestern and Chicago...took second in the 100 back and third in the 500 free against Olivet Nazarene and Butler...was in the top four in both backstroke races against Oakland...had a fourth and a fifth place showing against Milwaukee...qualified for finals in the 100 and 200 back at the TYR Invitational...was fifth in both the 100 and 200 back against Cleveland State and IUPUI...had two third place swims against Green Bay...swam both backstroke races and the 500 free at the Horizon League Championships.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Grabbed second place finishes in the 100 back (:59.74) and 200 back (2:07.37) in the season opener against Indiana State...swam the backstroke leg of the victorious 400 medley relay...earned the first individual event win of her career against Green Bay and Valparaiso, in the 200 back (2:08.74), while placing second in the 100 again, and leading off the winning 200 medley relay...took fourth in the 100 back in one minute flat, and seventh in the 200, against Northwestern, Rutgers, and Chicago...was top-3 in both backstroke races, second in the 400 medley relay, and appeared on the 400 free relay team against Milwaukee...placed third in the 100 (:59.78) and fifth in the 200 (2:09.49) against Oakland...added the 50 back (:27.52) and 500 free (5:20.19) to her events at the TYR Invitational...was top-3 in both backstroke races on day 1 at Cleveland State...competed in the 100 and 200 back and the 500 free, setting season highs in all three events, at the Horizon League Championships.
AS A FRESHMAN 2016-17): Placed eighth in the 400 free relay (3:44.79) and tenth in the 200 back (2:10.08) at the triple dual meet with Olivet-Nazarene, Northwestern and the University of Chicago (Oct. 22)…captured third place in the 200 free relay (1:40.53) and fourth place in the 100 back (59.93) against Boston College (Oct. 28)…finished fifth in the 200 back (2:07.99), took eighth in both the 200 free relay (1:41.50) and the 100 IM (1:03.53) while finishing tenth in both the 200 IM (2:14.78) and the 2-00 medley relay (1:54.76) versus Oakland, Green Bay and Wright State (Nov. 4-5)…grabbed fourth place in the 200 IM (2:18.05), fifth place in the 200 back (2:10.09) and finished seventh in the 100 back (1:02.98) at Milwaukee (Nov. 12)…took tenth place in the 100 back (57.44), eleventh in the 800 free relay (7:47.90) and twelfth in the 200 back (2:04.96) at Northwestern’s annual TYR Invitational (Nov. 18-20)…claimed third place in the 100 back (1:00.79), fourth place in the 200 back (2:09.47) and fifth place in the 200 free relay (1:42.79) against Cleveland State (Jan. 14)…earned fourth place in the 800 free relay (8:02.20), captured a trio of sixth place finishes in the 500 free (5:18.36), the 200 back (2:08.83) and the 400 free relay (3:44.71), took seventh place in the 400 medley relay (4:02.64), eighth in the 200 medley relay (1:54.30) and ninth in the 100 back (1:00.83) at the Flames Invitational (Jan. 20-21)…notched a thirteenth place finish in the 200 back (2:04.62), fifteenth in the 100 back (57.70) and twenty-third in the 500 free (5:11.96) at the Horizon League Championships (Feb. 22-25).
PREP AND PERSONAL: Letterwinner at Stillwater Area (Minn.) ... earned four conference titles, four conference titles and made four state appearances ... went undefeated in 2013 ... two-time All-American ... four-time All-State and All-Conference ... served as the team's captain her senior year ... set the school record as a member of the 200 medley relay team ... daughter of Kris and Chris Kunze ... currently enrolled as a Mechanical Engineering major.
