AS A SENIOR (2018-19): Did not compete.
AS A JUNIOR (2017-18): Opened the season by placing second in the 500 free (5:20.11) against Indiana State...swam the 500 and 200 (2:01.69) against Green Bay and Valparaiso...took second in the 100 fly (:58.35) at the TYR Invitational, where she also swam the 200 fly (2:11.07) and the 500 free (5:14.40)...was fifth in the 100 fly and third in the 200 fly on day 1 at Cleveland State...was fifth in both butterfly races and seventh in the 500 free on day 2...qualified for the consolation final in the 200 fly at the Horizon League Championships, finishing 13th (2:08.15)...also swam the 100 fly and 500 free.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17): Placed fourth in the 200 fly (2:10.69) and eighth in the 500 free (5:20.71) at the triple dual with Olivet-Nazarene, Northwestern and the University of Chicago (Oct. 22)…finished third in the 200 fly (2:12.30) against Boston College (Oct. 28)…earned fifth place in the 100 fly (59.08), seventh place in both in the 200 fly (2:10.95) and the 500 free (5:15.63), eighth in the 400 medley relay (4:03.06) and tenth in the 200 free relay (1:42.87) versus Oakland, Green Bay and Wright State (Nov. 4-5)…captured second place in the 200 fly (2:10.55) and third place in the 500 free (5:14.19) at Milwaukee on Nov. 12…notched a seventh place finish in the 800 free relay (7:37.13), eight place in the 50 fly (26.10), twelfth in the 200 fly (2:06.23), thirteenth place in the 100 fly (57.64) and finished in sixteenth place in the 500 free (5:06.08) at the annual TYR Invitational hosted by Northwestern (Nov. 18-20)…claimed second place in the 200 fly (2:08.17), third place in the 100 fly (58.75) and fifth in the 200 free relay (1:42.79) against Cleveland State (Jan. 14)…was victorious in the 800 free relay (7:45.93) and the 200 fly (2:07.61), took third in the 100 fly (58.51), fourth in the 400 free relay (3:38.43), finished fifth in the 500 free (5:14.44) and seventh in the 400 medley relay (4:02.64) at the Flames Invitational (Jan. 20-21)…placed third in the 800 free relay (7:24.50), took sixteenth in the 500 free (5:05.32), eighteenth in the 100 fly (57.51) and twenty-first in the 200 fly (2:13.77) at the Horizon League Championships (Feb. 22-25).
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16 at Wyoming):Â Â In the double-dual with NAU and Air Force, Ruiz competed in the 200 free (2:01.07) and the 100 free (52.94. She also swam in the Border War meet against CSU, and brought home a fifth place finish in the 100 fly (1:00.26), while also swimming in the 200 free (1:59.57).
PREP/PERSONAL: Member of three conference championship teams...daughter of Ana and Orlando Ruiz...majoring in elementary education.
