Emily Wollet was named UIC’s Senior Associate Athletics Director - Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer on July 19, 2021, adding the role of Senior Woman Administrator in November 2024. In her current position, Wollet serves as a member of the UIC Athletics Senior Leadership Team, while leading the department’s risk management initiatives and overseeing its NCAA compliance program. She also maintains sport oversight of the Flames' women's basketball and swimming & diving programs.

Wollet arrived in Chicago after serving at her alma mater, Youngstown State University, since 2012. At YSU, Wollet began as an Assistant Director of Athletics and most recently served as the Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator and the Diversity and Inclusion designee. Wollet oversaw and managed the Compliance Department and provided direct oversight to the staff and support of various department units including Sport Medicine, Strength and Conditioning, Student-Athlete (SA) Wellness Program, DEI, Human Resources, and maintained oversight of nine sport programs, including women’s basketball and volleyball during her tenure.

Additionally, Wollet led the efforts to create the Stambaugh Stadium Athletic Dining Facility while partnering with YSU’s Dietetics Program to provide services to all SAs.  Under Wollet’s leadership, two academic courses were implemented, “Life After Sports” and “Flight: SA First Year Experience” to support the overall well-being and development of student-athletes. She also led the DIA’s efforts in securing two NCAA Accelerated Academic Services Program Grants (AASP) totaling $200,000 which was used to enhance academic and support services to student-athletes. In addition to her responsibilities within Athletics, Wollet served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for YSU’s campus at-large and was a member of the institution’s CARE team (Concern-Assessment-Referral-Education). Prior to her work at Youngstown State, Wollet was a postgraduate intern at the NCAA from 2011-2012.

Wollet has been a member of Women Leaders in College Sports since 2013 and is a graduate of the NCAA Women Leaders Institute for Administrative Advancement. Wollet also has served as a Public Events volunteer with the College Football Playoff Committee in support of the CFP Championship Game.

A former YSU track and field student-athlete, Wollet graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education (2009) and a Master of Science in Education-Counseling (2011). She and her partner, Nic McKissic-Luke, are proud parents to Nicolas, Georgia and Rylynn.
