Avery Brossart is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach at UIC, joining the Flames' staff in May 2025.

Prior to coming to Chicago, Brossart was a student manager for the men's basketball program at Xavier University from 2021-25, contributing to practice setup and film preparation. During his tenure with the Musketeers, Xavier made four postseason appearances, including two trips to the NCAA Tournament (highlighted by a berth in the 2023 NCAA Sweet Sixteen), and won the 2022 NIT title.

A native of Hamilton, Ohio, Brossart graduated from Xavier in May 2025 with his undergraduate degree in sports studies. He is currently enrolled in graduate courses through UIC's Graduate College.
