Carlee Jo Clark

Carlee Jo Clark

Clark enters her first year on the UIC softball staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2025 after graduating as a three-year player for the Flames in 2024. A versatile player of her own, Clark will bring experience as both a pitcher and a hitter as an assistant coach.

"We are thrilled to welcome Carlee back home to UIC,” said head coach Megan Coronado. “As a former Flame, she understands the pride, grit, and commitment it takes to wear this uniform. Her experience as a Division I pitcher who also hit, combined with her master’s in kinesiology and sport psychology, makes her uniquely equipped to elevate our pitching staff. More importantly, she brings a passion for developing athletes as both competitors and people, which aligns perfectly with the culture we are building here at UIC Softball.”

From 2022-24, Clark started in 105 of 125 games for the Flames, while making 45 of 84 starts on the mound. Over her career, Clark was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Midwest Region First Team, All-Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team, and the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

On the mound, the Illinois native finished her career for the Flames with 12 wins, 11 complete games, and a 4.82 ERA. Clark pitched 274.2 innings total, striking out 145 batters.

In the batter’s box, Clark recorded 321 at-bats, 33 runs, 83 hits, 13 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 48 RBIs, a .383 SLG%, and four stolen bases. In her final season, Clark led the Flames in home runs with four and RBIs with 23.
