Darren Kent joined the Flames in September, 2013 as the Director of Equipment Operations. In his role, Kent handles all day-to-day aspects of the 18 athletic programs, including purchasing, maintenance, organization and management of the student assistant program.
Kent came to UIC after serving as a Clubhouse Manager for the Colorado Rockies and their minor league affiliate, the Modesto Nuts
Kent attended Harper College in Palatine, where he received his associate’s degree, and is working towards his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University. In addition to his experience on the collegiate level, Kent previously served as an clubhouse manager with the Schaumburg Flyers and with the Salt River Rafters of the MLB Arizona Fall League.
A native of Schaumburg, Illinois, Kent has one daughter, Kinsley.
