Lemar Daniels joined the UIC Athletics Facilities and Operations team in March 2026 as an Events Coordinator. He is responsible for aiding with the day-to-day operations of all of UIC's athletics facilities, along with his service as an on-site game manager for selected UIC home events.

Daniels came to UIC following more than three years as the Esports Coordinator at St. Xavier University in Chicago. The first person to hold that role at St. Xavier, Daniels was responsible for coordinating schedules and travel for the program's six competitive teams, and specifically coached the school's Valorant teams to a handful of playoff appearances and a NACE Valorant title while also developing three all-conference nominees.

Prior to SXU, Daniels held a similar post at Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio, rebuilding the school's current Esports program while recruiting the first Overwatch and Rocket League teams in school history. He also helped launch the Great Lakes Esports Conference and oversaw conference scheduling and results tracking.

Daniels earned his bachelor of business administration degree from Washington Adventist University in 2016. He went on to garner is MBA/Master's of Sport Administration degree from Ohio University in 2019. While at Ohio U., Daniels served as a graduate assistant in various athletic units, including event services, academic advising and the track & field program. Â
