Siena Stickney joined UIC as a Communications Intern in August 2025.
Stickney is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in Sports Management at UIC, where she is also a member of the Flames softball program.
The junior brings experience in athletics, media, and community engagement, having worked on multiple NIL campaigns, contributed to the ESPN broadcast crew at UIC, assisted with SAAC social media, and volunteered at Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center.
At UIC, Stickney serves as the primary communications contact for the men’s and women’s tennis programs. In this role, she is responsible for writing press releases and game recaps, updating player bios and statistics, managing social media coverage, and creating digital content for UICFlames.com. She also assists the communications staff with coverage of UIC’s other athletic programs.
A native of Mission Viejo, California, Stickney’s parents grew up in the suburbs of Illinois, instilling in her a lifelong love for Chicago. She is thrilled to contribute to the Flames Communications team while continuing to balance her role as a Division I student-athlete.
