UIC Athletics

Tyler Klimes is in his first year as UIC's Director of Video Services, having moved into the role in July 2026. He originally joined the Flames Family as an assistant in the Creative Services unit for the 2025-26 academic year, aiding with video and photo coverage of numerous events across several sports, as well as the annual SPARKYs all-sports gala and several feature pieces for Flames Athletics.

Klimes came to UIC shortly after completing work on his bachelor of science degree in sports media production at Ball State University in May 2025. While at Ball State, he served as an award-winning producer/editor for Ball State Sports Link, serving in a variety of roles, including documentary and feature story producer, video editor, studio show producer, videographer, photographer and live broadcaster.

Klimes also gained experience from Feb.-July 2025 as a digital producer with Turner Sports, helping create content for the NCAA and March Madness YouTube channels and the NCAA website, including highlight videos and short vertical content.
