Jack Curtin was named an assistant coach at UIC in the fall of 2020. Jack graduated from Liverpool John Moores University where he earned a BSc (HONS) Science and Football degree, graduating in 2011.
Jack has experience at Premier League clubs Liverpool FC and Everton FC Academies in England. He was part of the staff that reached the quarter final of the FA Youth Cup, losing to Manchester United. The squad included current full internationals Raheem Sterling and Connor Coady in addition to Europa League winner Suso.
Since transitioning to the United States, Jack has held a Director of Coaching role at Marquette Soccer Academy in Michigan, where he won the USA Cup. He was also Technical Director at Lee County Strikers in Florida. He joins UIC after a spell as Assistant Director at Wizard FC in Oak Brook, Illinois.
As a player, Jack won the West Lancashire League & Cup in addition to the regional Lancashire Cup in high school and competed in the Mid Chesire league for Garswood United as a 17-year-old before turning his attention to coaching.
Since coaching became a passion at such an early age, Jack now has 15 years of coaching experience at various levels. He currently holds the USSF ‘B’ License, USC Advanced National Diploma, USC GK Level 1, USC Sport Psychology Level 2, FA Level 2, FA Youth module, FA Talent ID, Prozone performance analysis Levels 1 & 2, BTEC Sport National Diploma, Physical Education ‘A’ Level, YMCA Fitness instructor, PSFA Introduction into Football scouting, Opposition Analysis Level 1 and Talent ID Level 1.
