Flames' Bats Go Cold

Atlanta, Ga. - The Flames' bats went cold against Georgia State this afternoon as UIC (1-3) managed just three hits in a 5-0 loss to the Panthers.

Junior first baseman Bob Rosinski was the lone bright spot for the Flames at the plate as he tallied two of UIC's three hits with a 2-for-3 performance. Joe Schicker accounted for UIC's third hit as he hustled out a bunt.

Freshman Larry Banks (0-1) was handed the loss while Georgia State's Billy Boughee earned the victory as he went nine complete innings, allowing three hits with seven strikeouts.

The two squads will face off again tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
