Chicago, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago women's basketball team's seven-game home winning streak came to a screeching halt on Thursday night as the Bradley Braves earned the 69-53 victory over the Flames at the newly renovated UIC Pavilion.

"We stunk up the whole game," UIC head coach Tim Eatman said. "When we moved the ball in the second half, we didn't do it against their starters, we did it against their subs.

"We didn't come out focused and we didn't come out ready."

With the victory, Bradley improves to 9-0, while UIC drops to 7-3 on the season.

Junior forward Charissa Greene led UIC with 13 points while teammates Stesha Rhodes (11 points) and LeKesha Williams (10 points) each turned in solid performances.

Bradley shot a blistering 67 percent in the first half, behind 10 points from Va'Nicia Waterman as the Braves jumped out to a 41-16 lead heading into the intermission. Overall, Bradley shot 51 percent from the field.

Genevieve Mueller led Bradley with a game-high 20 points while Waterman added 16.

UIC will be back in action on Sunday afternoon, as they will travel to Ohio, to square off with the Akron Zips at 1:00 PM.
