Box Score

Chicago, Ill. - UW-Milwaukee entered Wednesday afternoon's tilt with UIC winless in its last three trips to Flames Field, and without a goal on the pitch since 1996.

Panther sophomore Atou Jallow, the nation's second-leading scorer, single-handedly put an end to both streaks as he tallied four goals in a 4-2 UWM triumph over the Flames.

With the loss, UIC, which is winless in its last four games, falls to 3-6-1 on the year and 1-2-0 in the Horizon League. The Panthers, meanwhile, have now won six straight games and sit at 6-1-1 overall, 2-0-0 in league play.

The Flames owned the early 1-0 lead on Wednesday as sophomore Patrick Grange rocketed one past the keeper in the 7th-minute for his team-high fifth goal of the year. Freshman Sinisa Ubiparipovic and senior Joe Morelli were credited with assists on the play.

Jallow would answer for the Panthers two minutes later, though, heading in a cross pass from Tighe Dombrowski to even the score, 1-1.

In the 39th-minute, Jallow would strike again, this time collecting a rebound off Flames keeper Ross Cain and putting it into the goal for a 2-1 UWM advantage.

UIC would grab momentum back just over seven minutes into the second half, as Morelli back-heeled a centering pass off a free kick from Bruno Rasich past Panther keeper Chris Dadaianto to knot the game at 2-2. It was Morelli's career-best third goal of the season.

Unfortunately for the Flames, the rest of the game would belong to Jallow. The forward from Sweden headed in a long thrown in from Kyle Lance in the 64th-minute to give UWM a 3-2 edge, then he put the game away with a blast in the 75th-minute. Jallow now has a league-best 13 goals on the year.

Sasha Begovic's crew will look to rebound on Sunday afternoon as they travel north to battle Detroit in a critical league match-up at 12:00 p.m.
