Des Moines, Iowa - The University of Illinois at Chicago women's tennis team split a pair of matches in Iowa this past weekend.
On Saturday versus Drake, the Flames triumphed 5-2, as the No.3 - No.6 singles matches went to the UIC side.
Britta Dohmann, Karen Liwanpo, Zvjezdana Malesevic, and Alyson Stalzer were singles victors against the Bulldogs, while the No.2 and No.3 doubles matches also went to the Flames.
It was a little different story on Sunday versus Iowa State, as the Cyclones the reversed Saturday's score to beat the Flames, 5-2.
Nicole Derouin beat Sabrina Evers 6-1, 6-1 in the No.2 singles slot and Dohmann made it a spotless singles weekend by beating Edna Vazquez 6-1, 6-2.
In the Iowa State match, seniors Liwanpo and Stalzer teamed up for a win at No.2 doubles.
The Flames have this weekend off before making the westward trek to Boise, Idaho for the Boise State Invitational from March 15-17.
