Chicago, Ill. - ESPN Radio 1000 AM in Chicago, the home for UIC men's basketball since the 1997-98 campaign, will continue to be the exclusive broadcaster for the Flames for the next three years.

"We're thrilled to sign an extension with ESPN Radio 1000," Athletic Director Jim Schmidt said. "It's exciting to continue our relationship with Chicago's premier sports radio station.

"Their combination of ESPN-brand and local programming has significantly enhanced our exposure over the years and will continue to do as we head into the future."

This year, ESPN Radio will carry 17 UIC regular-season games live, starting with the opener on Saturday, November 15th, versus UC-Irvine in the lid-lifter of the 2003 BCA Classic in Cincinnati, Ohio. A 15-minute pre-game show will precede each broadcast followed by a post-game show with interviews from both coaches and players.

There will also be as many as 10 tape-delayed games on ESPN Radio throughout the season. Go online to www.uicflames.com to check these broadcast dates and times.
