Women's Basketball Shipwrecked By Vikings, 77-62

Chicago, Ill. - Cleveland State forwards Ashley Schrock and Shannon Sword combined to score 59 points helping the visiting Vikings to the 77-62 Horizon League victory over the University of Illinois at Chicago women's basketball squad at the UIC Pavilion on Monday evening.

Schrock scored a career-high 35 points while Sword added 24 in the Vikings' win.

With the victory, Cleveland State improves to 5-7 overall and 2-0 in Horizon League play, while the Flames fall to 5-7 on the campaign and 0-3 in conference action.

UIC sophomore point guard Chrissy Dizon led the Flames with 18, while teammates Dejeanette Flournoy and Chastity Quinn each added 11 points.

UIC will be back in action on Thursday evening, as they will travel to Ohio to square off with Youngstown State in a Horizon League tilt at 6:00 p.m.
