Important Dates: Advising Week- October 16-20 Spring Registration- November 7 October 6- Last Day to withdraw from classes October 13- Volleyball RED OUT game vs. Loyola at 7pm October 13- Basketball Madness following Volleyball at the Pavilion

1. Great Job to all who participated in the Blood Drive!! It was the biggest turn out for UIC Athletics!

2. Advising Week- October 16-20
***Every athlete needs to see their college advisor as well as the representative for their team within the Athletic Dept. to properly schedule classes for the upcoming semester.

3. If anyone knows of any good volunteer opportunities please let Molly Stearns know!

4. Walk Against Hunger- October 15 (See Molly Stearns for more details)

5. Fundraising for the Smyth School- Money for each team should be turned in by October 25! This money helps to buy the kids school supplies. *** WE NEED EVERY TEAM TO PARTICIPATE!!

6. 5th Year Aid- This is for summer and fall of 2007. Due January 1, 2007

7. Exit Interview- This is required for ALL seniors, this also needs to get done in order to get 5th year aid! Please have this done a couple weeks after end of the season. FYI: Could be an online form.

8. DEADLINE- Last day to drop a class is October 6- THIS FRIDAY!! Make sure if you drop a class your hours don't fall below 12 otherwise you will be ineligible!

9. Spring Registration- November 7
***Check for account holds NOW such as financial or immunization holds. If there is a hold on your account it is very important that you take care of this ASAP so you can register on the date set aside for Priority Registration!
****It is important that you understand that EVERY athlete has what is called an Athlete Hold this will NOT prevent you from registering. It is just there to make sure you get proper approval before dropping classes in the middle of the semester.

10. Equipment Issues-> The equipment department had to spend $15,000 to replace equipment (shirts, shorts, sweats, etc.) that was not returned from the previous year. There will be a huge increase in prices for equipment that is not returned next year.
