Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's basketball team will lock horns with in-state rival Bradley for the first time since the 1980-81 campaign when the Flames and Braves meet on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m., at Carver Arena in Peoria, Ill.

The contest is the opener for both schools in the inaugural Chicago Invitational Challenge. UIC (1-1) will continue on in the tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 21, with a road tilt at Miami (OH) before heading to the Sears Centre for the final two games of the event Nov. 24-25.
The Flames are coming off their first loss of the season, a 100-98 defeat at Davidson. Versus the Wildcats, sophomore Josh Mayo poured in a career-high 26 points to lead five UIC players in double figures.
Bradley is 2-0 on the year with home wins over DePaul and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. Jeremy Crouch is the Braves' leading scorer, averaging 17.0 points per outing, while 6-foot-8 forward Zach Andrews is averaging a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds per outing.
Bradley won the only prior meeting between the two schools, 99-48, in Peoria, Ill, during the 1980-81 season, which was prior to UIC's move to Division I status.
