1. Northwestern Mutual is offering PAID internships to student-athletes of any major. They were ranked as one of the Top Ten Internships in the Country by Princeton Review. 2. Thanks for all your help raising money for Halloween at the Smyth School. WE raised about $500!!! We have money left over that will be put towards fundraising events in the future!! Thanks so much for your help!!

3. FACEBOOK!!!! This is a HUGE Issue!!! You need to be VERY CAREFUL of the pictures that you post. The Athletic Department will not hesitate to suspend any student athlete for what is on Facebook, even if you are of age!! Please remove any pictures that do not display a healthy lifestyle. If you have any questions see page 7 in your student planner handbook! We as student athletes signed papers at the beginning of each season that stated we would promote a healthy lifestyle... "don't use any illegal or unhealthy substances including alcohol, tobacco and drugs, code of conduct for a UIC student athlete."

4. As we have done in the past we will be donating money to the Hospital-Children's Ward. We will be putting together holiday gifts for them and actually be giving to them ourselves. This will take place the Monday morning after finals week. More information will be given at a later date but if you are still in town we need as many people there as possible! This is an awesome way to see first hand where your donations go!!
