Green Bay, Wis.- For the second straight day the UIC women's tennis team launched an all-out attack on a Horizon League foe as the Flames downed UW-Green Bay, 6-1, on Sunday.
UIC improved to 4-5 overall and 3-0 in Horizon League play.
The Flames received two-set wins from Callan Smith, Corey Steven, Grace Gill-Morlis and Christina Oum for a well-rounded showing.
Iris Jaklin came back from a 6-1 loss in the first set against Heather Harding in the No. 1 singles spot to take a hotly-contested 7-6 second frame decided by a tiebreaker. Jaklin then took the final and decisive set in a strong 6-3 win.
UIC hits the road again for a two-match trip to Des Moines, Iowa, taking on Iowa State and Northern Iowa next weekend.
