Chicago, Ill.- For several years, the Fury--the official student booster club of the Flames--has directed most of its attention to cheering on the Flames at competitions and recruiting more UIC students to join the rowdy crew.

Now it's time for the Fury to go beyond the competition and start doing more for those who have less. Enter Share Your Soles, a local organization dedicated to providing gently-worn shoes to those less fortunate around the globe.

The Fury hosted a shoe drive around the UIC campus, including collection bins in residence halls and at spring sporting competitions, gathering hundreds of pairs of athletic and dress shoes for Share Your Soles.

Recently, equipment manager Jim Negratti helped in cleaning the shoes and Fury committee member J.P. Paonessa made the delivery to the Share Your Soles warehouse.

The Fury would like to thank all the student, coaches and staff around campus who generously donated shoes to this excellent cause.
