Milwaukee, Wis. - UIC fell to Milwaukee on the road on Saturday afternoon in four games (19-30, 32-30, 15-30, 13-30). Senior Amanda Kenny led the Flames with 16 kills, while sophomore Casie Sullivan owned a team-best 11 digs.
Sophomore Emily McGinnis totaled a team-best 10 digs, while Sullivan also tabbed 27 helpers versus the Panthers. Freshman Epiphany Davis powered UIC at the net with seven blocks.
Milwaukee's Jamie Gabrielsen paced the Panthers with 21 kills and Lauren Felsing owned a team-high 16 digs.
Milwaukee jumped ahead in game one with a 10-3 run. The Panthers held the Flames to a .065 attack percentage with 11 kills to take an early 1-0 lead in the match. Gabrielsen paced Milwaukee in game one with five kills and seven digs.
The Panthers notched the first three points of game two. Milwaukee led 5-1 before UIC sparked a 7-5 burst to get within two points early in the frame (10-8). The Flames chipped at the deficit, eventually taking a one-point advantage on a kills by Sullivan. UIC used the offensive momentum and tied the match in extra points (32-30).
Milwaukee held UIC to a negative attack percentage after the break to take game three, 30-15. The Panthers fed off their offensive success and clinched the match victory with a 30-13 win in game four.
UIC returns to Chicago to face Loyola on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
