UIC Men's Basketball Paradise Jam Game Notes Final Edition in PDF Format 
St. Thomas, USVI- The UIC men's basketball team concludes its stay in paradise this Monday afternoon with a game against Wichita State in the Flames' finale at the 2007 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.
Tip-off for Monday's game between the Flames (2-2) and Shockers (1-2) is set for 2:00 p.m. Atlantic/12:00 p.m. Central.
Monday's game wraps up a grueling stretch of five contests in nine days, including three in the last four. The game against Wichita State is also the third in a season-long five-game stretch away from the Pavilion.
The Flames fell in heartbreaking fashion in its last contest in the Paradise Jam, falling 64-63 to Charlotte on Saturday. Josh Mayo led the way with 15 second-half points, hitting five three-pointers in the final stanza for a personal-best showing from outside the line in a single half.
UIC has outscored all four of its opponents in the second half this season, averaging 4.75 more points than its foes in the last 20 minutes of regulation.
Scott VanderMeer continues to control the paint, swatting away five shots in three of UIC's first four games. He blocked five 49er shots on Saturday.
So far the Flames have been successful from behind the arc, hitting 48 percent (35-for-73) from downtown. UIC's three-point field goal percentage is slightly over their overall field goal clip of 47 percent.
