Chicago, Ill.- The UIC men's basketball team will seek to extend its four-game winning streak this Saturday afternoon against Howard at the UIC Pavilion.
Tip-off between the Flames (7-4) and the Bison (3-8) is set for 3:00 p.m. Central.
The Flames have been perfect at home thus far in 2007-08, winning all five of their games at the Pavilion and owning an eight-game home undefeated streak dating back to last season.
At home UIC is shooting 53.4 percent (143-for-268) from the field and hitting from beyond the arc at a rate of 54.7 percent (52-for-95).
Josh Mayo continues to pace the Flames' attack. The Horizon League's leading scorer at 19.1 points per game, Mayo is shooting 59 percent (36-for-61) from downtown overall and 65.6 percent (21-for-32) from behind the line at the Pavilion, where he averages 26.0 ppg.
Rookie Robert Kreps has been on fire of late, as well. "Robo" has scored in double figures as a reserve in UIC's last five games, averaging 13.8 ppg during that stretch.
