SAAC FUNDRAISER IDEAS: - Battle of the Bands - Silent Auction - We will find UIC alumni athletes who have become successful in their career or in athletics and host a dinner for them to recognize their success while raising money - Kickball/Dodgeball Tournament - Athletic Social Events - Bus trips to way games/meets - Dances, social events, etc

In the near future we are looking to start a clothing drive or shoe drive. We just need to pick the time to do it. We want to do more to give back to the community.

PORT UPDATES: - Do not have someone sign you in/out on port hours. DO NOT LIE, YOU WILL GET CAUGHT - Progress reports are due no later than October 15, if they are not turned in by then, you will be pulled from practice - Look at immunization holds. Coaches should know who have holds on their accounts. - Advising week is October 20

WE ARE UIC" - The associated press changed their style book and we are now licensed as UIC ONLY. No more University Illinois-chicago. At the bookstore, the clothing will be mostly UIC and our schools colors.

LIFE SKILLS SEMINAR: - Gloria Blague had a family emergency when the life skills seminar was scheduled. It is going to be rescheduled, the date is TBA.

POINT FOR PRIDE CURRENT STANDINGS: 1st place: Softball and Men's Gymnastics - 188 points 2nd place: Baseball and Mens Basketball - 137 points 3rd place: Mens/Womens Tennis and Mens Swimming and Diving - 112 4th place: Mens XX, Volleyball, and Womens Gymnastics - 85 5th place: Womens Swimming and Diving and Womens Track and Field - 83 6th place: Soccer and Women's Basketball - 76 7th place: Womens XX and Men's Track and Field - 43

The SAAC reps will be working each home event. Athletes are instructed to report to the ticket booth to recieve points

The port center will be installing a new data server within the next few months. This will enable us to have wireless down in the port center.
