Chicago, Ill.- The UIC Athletic Department and CBS College Sports unveiled a new-look UICFlames.com on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
The new website was designed to radiate a more streamlined appearance, with the intent of providing the most pertinent information in an efficient manner above the "fold" of the page in the browser.
The school colors of red and blue were incorporated extensively into the design, and the primary UIC athletic logo was implemented into the website's masthead for the first time since 2003-04.
In addition to an updated look, the relaunch of the website provides an opportunity to further eliminate the incorrect reference of "Illinois-Chicago" and other wrong uses of the school name. Only "University of Illinois at Chicago" in first reference and "UIC" in all other references are acceptable usages, hence all other incorrect uses will be eliminated entirely from UICFlames.com at some point.
Content will also be an improved area for the website, as new pages will be added and older pages will be updated regularly to provide the most up-to-date information. Archives will be cleaned up and records pages for all teams will be revised and easier to access.
The new-look UICFlames.com is still a work in progress. Improvements will be made to the website on a daily basis, so look for more new items and enhanced features at the official online home of UIC Athletics.
