CHICAGO- The UIC men's basketball team puts its five-game winning streak on the line this Wednesday, Dec. 17 when the Flames host Lewis at the UIC Pavilion.
Tip-off between the Flames (6-2) and the Flyers (5-2) is set for 7 p.m. Central.
Tickets are available for purchase at the UIC Pavilion Box Office.
The game will be carried live on Lakeshore Public Television and online through the Horizon League Network. Live streaming audio is also available on uicflames.com, with Adam Levinson and UIC great Kenny Williams on the call.
The Flames head into Wednesday night's tilt following a 66-60 win over Georgia Tech this past Sunday inside historic Alexander Memorial Coliseum. It was UIC's second road win over a BCS school in 12 days and just Georgia Tech's 13th non-conference home loss since 1981-82.
Sunday's win was also a landmark victory for head coach Jimmy Collins, as the 13th-year head coach secured his 200th career victory on the UIC sidelines.
Leading the way for the Flames is senior guard Josh Mayo, who continues to pace the Horizon League in scoring at 20.5 points per game. During UIC's five-game winning streak, Mayo is shooting 63.6 percent (21-for-33) from three-point range.
Fellow senior Scott VanderMeer is averaging a double-double of 14.6 ppg and 10.6 rpg during UIC's current winning streak. VanderMeer scored 17 of his career high-tying 19 points against the Ramblin' Wreck in the second half, going up against a Georgia Tech side that featured five players standing 6-foot-8 or taller.
