UIC Men's Basketball Game Notes in PDF Format 
Nashville, Tenn.- The UIC men's basketball takes on Vanderbilt this Wednesday, Dec. 3 inside historic Memorial Gymnasium.
The first-ever meeting between the Flames (3-2) and the Commodores (5-1) tips at 7 p.m. Central and airs live on WIND 560 AM. Adam Levinson and UIC great Kenny Williams will don the headsets to call the action.
Both teams are riding win streaks, as UIC has won two in a row while Vanderbilt comes in on a four-game unbeaten run.
Senior guard Josh Mayo continues to live up to his billing as the Horizon League's Preseason Player of the Year. Mayo leads the conference in scoring (19.0 ppg), shooting 50.0 percent (29-for-58) from the floor so far this season.
Fellow senior Scott VanderMeer has picked up where he left off last season, leading the league in rebounding (8.0 rpg) and blocked shots (3.4 bpg).
Sophomore Tori Boyd is averaging 13.3 ppg and 4.0 rpg off the bench in the Flames' last four games, including two career-high 17-point outings in that span.
The Flames will face a tall task against the Commodores, who feature a pair of 6-foot-11 players in Preseason All-SEC First Teamer A.J. Ogilvy and Festus Ezeli to go along with 6-foot-7 freshman Jeffrey Taylor, who leads the squad in scoring at 13.5 ppg.
Vanderbilt is tough in Memorial Gym, having won 20 home games in a row before UIC's sister school, Illinois, handed the Commodores a 69-63 loss there on Nov. 20.
