CHICAGO- The UIC men's basketball team lifts the lid off of its Horizon League slate this Thursday, Dec. 3, when the Flames head north to face Milwaukee inside U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, Wis. at 7 p.m.
The game between the Flames (1-3, 0-0 Horizon League) and the Panthers (5-2, 0-0 Horizon League) will air live on ESPN Radio 1000 AM.
Former UIC broadcaster and current radio voice of the Tampa Bay Rays Dave Wills will don the headset one more time to call the action. He will be joined at press row by UIC legend Kenny Williams, who will provide expert analysis, and Jordan Bernfield, who will host the pregame, halftime and postgame shows and provide in-game updates.
Fans can also hear the game live on ESPNChicago.com. The game can also be viewed via the Horizon League Network at horizonleaguenetwork.tv/uic.
The Flames seek to snap a three-game skid with a win against their longtime rivals in the Cream City.
Carrying the load thus far is the backcourt of sophomore guard Zavion Neely and junior Robo Kreps. Neely is fourth in the league in scoring at 16.0 ppg, while Kreps comes in at eighth in the league with 15.5 ppg.
Senior forward Jeremy Buttell is also putting up double-digit points at 12.7 ppg, grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game in the process while shooting 38.9 percent (7-for-18) from three-point territory.
UIC leads the Horizon League in field goal percentage defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 38.4 percent (88-for-229) from the floor.
