CHICAGO - Elena Antakova's win at the fourth singles position clinched the UIC women's tennis team's victory over Toledo Saturday night, with the Flames taking the match, 4-3.
After sweeping all three doubles matches from the Mid-American conference rival Rockets, the Flames got two-set singles victories from Mariya Kovaleva at the second position and Amy Jellish at the sixth slot.
After falling in the second set against Toledo's Nadia Zoubareva, Elena Antakova was down 4-1 in the third and deciding set, before she crawled her way back into the game, winning the match, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.
The Flames will face another MAC foe when they head to Kalamazoo to take on No. 62 Western Michigan next Saturday, the 21st at 12 p.m.
