NORMAL, Ill. - The UIC women's gymnastics team picked up a mid-week road win over MIC rival Illinois State Wednesday evening, defeating the Redbirds, 193.725-192.400.
The Flames dominated the meet from the start, outscoring the Redbirds in all but one event.
DeAvera Todd (9.875) and Annie Kachman (9.800) went 1-2 on the vault, Kachman (9.800) would take top honors on the floor, while senior Zandre Labuschagne posted a season-high 9.850 performance on the bars for the event title. UIC would claim the top five slots on the uneven bars to outdistance themselves from ISU.
For the first time this season, Kachman won the all-around crown with a season-high 38.975.
The Flames and Illinois State will clash once more this weekend at the PEB on Saturday at 5 p.m.
