CHICAGO- The UIC men's basketball team puts a cap on its three-game homestand this Tuesday, Feb. 10 against Horizon League rival Detroit at the UIC Pavilion.
Tip between the Flames (10-13, 3-10 Horizon League) and the Titans (7-16, 2-11 Horizon League) is slated for 7 p.m.
Adam Levinson and UIC great Kenny Williams have the call live on 560 AM WIND. Fans can also watch live with Levinson and Williams calling the action on the Horizon League Network.
The Flames will look to end a five-game slide against a Titan team they defeated at Calihan Hall earlier this season. Sophomore guard Robo Kreps scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half to key UIC's 65-61 victory at Detroit back on Jan. 22.
Kreps has been key to the Flames' offense of late, scoring at least 15 points in each of the last four games to average 17.0 ppg in that span.
Fellow sophomore Tori Boyd has also become a vital offensive weapon in UIC's arsenal recently, averaging 11.5 ppg and 5.4 rpg while shooting 50 percent from downtown (9-for-18) in the last eight contests.
Senior center Scott VanderMeer is averaging 12.3 rebounds and 5.3 rejections in the Flames' last three games, keeping him atop the Horizon League rankings for rebounds (9.2 rpg for the season) and blocked shots (2.8 bpg on the year).
Senior guard Josh Mayo continues to pace all league scorers with 16.2 ppg.
