CHICAGO - The UIC women's tennis team continued to extend their winning ways against Horizon League opponents with a 7-0 victory over Milwaukee on Sunday morning at the Evergreen Racquet Club.
The Flames (6-6, 1-0 Horizon) had no trouble from the start, taking all three doubles games without giving up more than four points against any Panthers pair.
Ilinca Cristescu, the reigning Horizon League Player of the Year, defeated Kelly Drvaric at the top singles slot, 6-1, 6-2, to remain perfect against conference opponents after going 10-0 as a freshman in 2008.
UIC steps out of league play for the final time this season with a mid-week match against Chicago State this Tuesday, scheduled to be played outdoors at Flames Courts at 1 p.m.
