CHICAGO- Registration is now open for this year's Jimmy Collins' UIC Basketball Day Camp, which takes place June 15-18 at the Flames Athletic Center on the UIC campus.

Camp is open to boys and girls ages 8-18.

Each day runs from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., with an optional early-bird workout beginning at 7:30 a.m. each day.

Campers learn individual skills, engage in daily games and competitions and learn other vital components of the game of basketball from UIC coaches, players and celebrity guest lecturers. Campers also get a chance to experience the vibrant UIC campus.

Past guest speakers at Jimmy Collins' UIC Basketball Day Camp include collegiate and NBA stars such as Kendall Gill, Bobby Simmons, Tyrus Thomas, Luther Head, Shannon Brown, and many others.

Each camper receives a camp t-shirt and a camp ball.

Jimmy Collins' UIC Basketball Day Camp takes place at the Flames Athletic Center, the same facility used by the UIC basketball teams. The Flames Athletic Center is located at 839 W. Roosevelt Road.

There are two camp options to choose from. Camp with lunch provided is offered for $195, while camp without lunch is available for $175.

Deadline to register for the 2009 Jimmy Collins' UIC Basketball Day Camp is June 5.
