2009 NABC Division I All-District Teams in PDF Format 
CHICAGO- UIC senior guard Josh Mayo (Merrillville, Ind./Merrillville H.S.) was selected to the 2009 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District 12 Second Team, the organization announced on March 5.
The UIC standout is one of just 10 players to earn the All-District 12 distinction and one of 240 NCAA Division I men's basketball student-athletes to garner NABCA All-District accolades.
Mayo is now eligible for the 2009 State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams, which will be unveiled on Saturday, April 4 during the 2009 NABC Convention in Detroit.
The Merrillville native is averaging a team-best 16.8 ppg, good for second in the Horizon League.
The fourth-year Flames guard, who was named to the All-Horizon League First Team for the second straight season earlier this week, is also near the top of the league in free throw percentage (2nd/86.4%), three-point field goals made (3rd/2.4 3PT FG per game), assists (7th/3.4 apg) and three-point field goal percentage (10th/38.8%).
Mayo is the first UIC player to earn NABC All-District honors since Cedrick Banks in 2004.
Joining Mayo on the All-District 12 teams were five fellow Horizon League players in Butler's Matt Howard and Gordon Hayward, Cleveland State's J'Nathan Bullock, Green Bay's Ryan Tillema and Wright State's Todd Brown.
North Dakota State's Ben Woodside and Brett Winkelman, Oakland's Erik Kangas and Oral Roberts' Robert Jarvis rounded out the All-District 12 selections.
Mayo and the Flames take on Cleveland State in the quarterfinals of the 2009 Speedway Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship at Butler's Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. this Friday, March 6 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
